“We come from a family of storytellers. As kids, we’d listen enthralled to our grandparents vivid accounts of war, love, betrayal, and family. Growing up as the children of two culturally distinct parents in a country that was foreign to us, the family history we carried overseas kept us grounded as our physical surroundings swept us up.

As time went on, our family became increasingly scattered across the globe. My sister and I were fortunate to attend college in California while our parents worked stable jobs in Singapore. The only downside to this lifestyle was it became difficult to visit family. Slowly, one year became two, and two became six since we had seen our grandmother and aunt on our mother’s side in Slovenia.

Tate and I finally got the chance to visit our grandmother this past September. Sitting in the living room of our grandmother’s flat, we listened again to those same stories, and remembered the parts of ourselves we had forgotten.”

A CLUB CALLED RHONDA

A collection of super 8 diaries exploring the seduction of A CLUB CALLED RHONDA. After attending the party for the first time post-COVID in 2021, I felt connected to LA, a city I was just beginning to discover. I fell in love with the party’s sensual, dreamy world, and inspired to seek out more club experiences that focused less on social media and Chris Lake, and more on house music, & love.
